Pivot, an NRTC company, is a marketing and customer experience agency with a focus on collaborating
with people who are doing meaningful work in the communities they serve. Pivot comes alongside these
organizations to help them grow and thrive by assisting them in defining and living out their brands,
telling their unique stories and strengthening relationships with their customers. Pivot has four practice
areas, including broadband marketing, broadband CX, broadband vendors, and nonprofits.

Job Summary
As a Project Manager, you will serve as the central coordinator for all client projects, managing the
delivery process from initial scoping through final execution. In this role, you will work closely with our
creative teams and Account Managers to ensure every project not only meets expectations but exceeds
them. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, has a passion for organization and

Responsibilities
  • Orchestrate projects from Account Manager handoff to delivery of final files, coordinating with designers, copywriters, videographers, digital specialists, and other staff
  • Manage project scoping, timeline creation, and task assignments in collaboration with Account Managers and department leads
  • Build and maintain detailed project timelines that align with client deadlines and Pivot’s established workback schedules
  • Track and manage project hours, ensuring efficient resource allocation and profitability monitoring
  • Predict and plan for future capacity needs, surfacing risks or roadblocks early
  • Contribute to day-to-day resource planning and capacity management, aligning project assignments with availability, skill sets, and deadlines to ensure balanced workloads and timely delivery
  • Monitor deliverables against timelines, hour estimates, and scopes, proactively communicating changes to key stakeholders
  • Oversee quality control processes, making sure work meets internal standards before delivery to clients
  • Coordinate with outside vendors when appropriate to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams to ensure seamless project flow
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction while protecting internal processes and scope boundaries
  • Ensure quality control throughout the creative process, maintaining Pivot’s standards for excellence
  • Keep project documentation organized and up to date, including templates, estimates, briefs, and deliverables
  • Drive accountability through clear deadlines, ownership assignments, and consistent, proactive project follow-through
  • Identify and address project issues early, problem-solving with tact, and prioritizing team wellbeing
  • Support the implementation and optimization of project management tools and workflows
  • Facilitate internal project kickoff meetings, status check-ins, and post-project evaluations
  • Track project metrics and regularly report on project health, resource utilization, and profitability to leadership and client teams
  • Identify and recommend improvements to Pivot’s processes that enhance workflow efficiency while preserving or elevating the quality of work delivered to clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities   
     
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects across teams and deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities—you navigate between creative teams and Account Managers with clarity and positivity
  • Collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in team success and a belief that great work comes from coordinated, cross-functional effort
  • Solid understanding of agency workflows and the creative process, including how strategy, design, copy, video, and digital teams work together
  • Proficiency with project management software (Forecast experience highly preferred)
  • Familiarity with creative review and revision cycles, including managing internal approvals and version control working with rural markets or nonprofit clients is a plus
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in an agency, marketing, or creative environment

Physical Demands
  • Work is typically performed in a remote office setting
